About the Treatments
Buccal Massage
Buccal massage is a technique that originated in France which works on the muscles of the face from both the outside and inside the mouth (using gloves). It targets areas of deep tension, especially around the jaw, cheeks, and mouth—places often affected by stress, teeth grinding, or emotional holding.
This treatment works by stimulating blood flow and lymphatic drainage, which helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to the skin while removing toxins and reducing puffiness. It also relaxes overworked facial muscles, which can soften lines, lift the features, and improve skin tone and texture.
Buccal massage is a natural, non-invasive way to support skin health, relieve tension, and promote a more sculpted, radiant look—while calming the nervous system from within.
Facial Cupping and Gua Sha
Facial cupping is a non-invasive technique using sustainable, BPA- and latex-free cups to apply gentle negative pressure to the skin. This suction enhances microcirculation, delivering more oxygen and nutrients to skin cells, while stimulating collagen and elastin production—key proteins that support firmness and elasticity. The technique induces controlled microtrauma to the superficial layers of the skin, similar in principle to microneedling, though without the use of needles. This controlled stimulation activates the body’s natural healing response, promoting cellular repair and regeneration. As a result, facial cupping can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin texture, and restore a youthful glow. It also supports lymphatic drainage, helping to relieve puffiness, inflammation, and muscle tension. With regular treatments, clients often notice smoother, firmer, and more radiant skin.
Facial gua sha uses a smooth stone tool to gently scrape the skin, targeting muscle tension and fascia beneath the surface. This technique helps relieve jaw pain, TMJ discomfort, sinus pressure, and headaches by increasing blood circulation and promoting lymphatic drainage. It also reduces inflammation, alleviates facial muscle tightness, and encourages relaxation. Regular treatments can improve mobility, reduce chronic pain, and enhance overall facial health, providing a natural approach to both tension relief and well-being.
Perimenopausal/Menopausal Face Massage with Eberlin
This treatment includes the use of personalised oils for your skin by Eberlin Biocosmetics. I chose these products because they contain a high concentration of powerful, plant-based active ingredients and are produced using advanced biological methods in their own cutting-edge facility. While still cruelty-free and rooted in nature, these products are far more effective and safer than many “natural” cosmetics on the market.
For the next and chest portion of the massage, I work with Eberlin NeuroSensitive Stimulating or Relaxing Oils, specially formulated for perimenopausal and menopausal women. These oils help regulate mood, ease anxiety, and calm the nervous system by working through the skin and senses—supporting emotional balance and overall well-being during hormonal shifts.
During the face massage, I use either the Eberlin Firming Oil - an anti-aging blend that supports collagen synthesis, reduces dryness and inflammation, and delivers a tightening, wrinkle-smoothing effect - or the Antioxidant Oil, which hydrates and nourishes the skin, improving its texture and flexibility while protecting it from pollution.
